Reinstalling again and again will not solve your problem. GNU/Linux is not  
Windows: there is no magic! Let's look for the problem. Apparently, your  
video card is problematic since the generic vesa driver is used. What is your  
video card? If you do not know, executing the following command should help:
$ lspci | grep VGA
