The section "What license is being changed?" in the page pointed by the first  
link you gave gives an answer about the softwares OpenStreetMap uses:
"It does not cover software and software source code, which are usually but  
not always GPL (GNU Public License)."

However, again, this point should be irrelevant to Trisquel users (hence to  
the inclusion of the search engine in its Web browser). Only OpenStreetMap  
contributors should care.
