I think changing icon themes is very time consumming because icons come in different sizes. I don't know an easy way to change just one icon, but if you don't mind changing the whole icon theme instead, do the following: 1. Go to Main menu → System → Preferences → Appearance 2. Select your favorite theme and click the "Customize" button. 3. Select the "Icons" tab and select another icon theme. 4. Close the "Customize" window and "Save as..." your customized theme. I'm using Trisquel 4 and almost all icon themes I've tried have trash icons that change when the can is empty or not. -- Luis Felipe López Acevedo IntrosMedia <http://introsmedia.wordpress.com/>
