I did in fact install Debian from a CD from 2005. The installation took a  
long time and some of the software takes a long time to load (e.g. Open  
Office). Trisquel Mini sounded good because it has lightweight applications  
just like my Openmoko phone (incidentally, if Pidgin runs on my phone why is  
it not included in Trisquel mini?). Can I install the latest version of  
Debian which has a kernel free of binary blobs? I would of course prefer  
installing a Libre distribution.
