Am just updating the grub now. Will tell you exactly what happens after I reset. BTW, I installed startupmanager (sudo apt-get install startupmanager) and was able to go past the boot and was able to see the choices of Linux OS (I'm dual booting with another distro). However, once I choose Trisquel, my monitor shuts down again until the login screen appears.
