I use back in time but I have never tried what you are attempting.  The back  
in time program has a spot where you can ask questions.  I would post that  
[https://answers.launchpad.net/backintime here] because you might get a  
better answer.  Since that program isn't in trisquel by default I don't know  
how many users here use it.
