I tried to install Trisquel 5 and I didn't experience the error! I had such
experience with Trisquel 4.5, but I didn't reproduce it this time. The only
problem was that brightness was very low an I was not be able to adjust it
with the Fn key; it always indicated the maximum brightness in the
notification of the top-right part of the screen, but it was false. It
happened in the live session and later using the installation.
However, after the first upgrading of the system brightness problem was
fixed. My graphic card is Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics
Device.
In the past I experienced problems with the video card, maybe it is a bit
broken. Bad restarters, fixed patterns of colors in the screen, sometimes
moving in some direction, bad behavior when playing during a time openarena,
etc..
