Assuming the message "Saving installed packages..." means something, I would  
say that the partitioning went right.

I installed a new Trisquel box yesterday and the installer (run through the  
icon on the Live system's desktop) hung. I tried again without the network (I  
was sharing the bad Wifi connection though a wire reaching the computer where  
the system was to be installed) and the installation went right. However I  
did that because the last message logged was an error reported by  
NetworkManager, and that is not your case.
