Big Brother is watching you. :) That's what i would say if you were using any
commercial O.S., but since that's not the case try checking if the app that
handled the camera is still running. Use system monitor to see if the process
is still running, and if it is kill it in system monitor by right-clicking it
and choosing the appropriate option.
If you know that the process that handled the camera is not running anymore
and the camera is still on then execute the app again and try to
change/switch-off the camera device in the app's options - try to see if that
turns off the camera. You'll need to adjust this back again when you really
want your camera on - and close the app afterwards.
To turn off the camera directly trough the command line, i'll leave that to
someone more experienced than me to explain that to you.
