Before I discovered Trisquel I used gnewsense for quite some time, and I  
found it to be a terribly frustrating experience. Not only is the software  
out of date and poorly maintained, their community is not very welcoming  
either.

I believe that Trisquel is the #1 100% Free distribution because its up to  
date, and has a wonderful community.
