We tested it earlier and the carl9170 firmware works great.Carl9170 is a  
great improvement over the ar9170 firmware. It really should have been  
included in the older releases. Unfortunately we didn't think of it prior.  
Ubuntu was also defaulting to ar9170 firmware at the time. Right now the only  
thing you need to use it is with the beta is a temporary connection to  
install the firmware. Rubén is going to include it in the final ISO once it  
is released.
