You know I had a similar issue although I don't think it was exactly the  
same.  I left my computer on while installing and then went to a class and  
came back (~2 hours later) and it was done.  I don't know if there is some  
sort of hangup but what happens when you leave it and just let it do it's  
thing?  I'm not saying taking an exceedingly long time is not a bug but we  
have to make sure it isn't really frozen.
