Open standards in documents is one thing I don't make any comprimises on. If  
I am emailing something to someone that I know may have Office 2007 or above  
or LibreOffice, I stick with ODT. Otherwise I export as a PDF if I expect any  
problems with the person on the other side using or use custom fonts in my  
documents.
