Problem solved :) !

Adding a .desktop file in .config/autostart with the following content does  
the trick:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Power
Comment=Power Manager
Exec=lxterminal --command "xfce4-power-manager"
Terminal=true
