Try installing xf86-input-wacom. I just checked and it's installed on  
Parabola for me, so you probably need it too.

As for how it acts, the pen actually moves like it should, depending on where  
the pen is, that's where it is on the screen. Sensitivity and stuff like that  
work in GIMP.
