I had that problem a pair of times some time ago. I was very afraid of being  
formatting the HDD of my friend, so I cancelled the installation (or rebooted  
the machine) when I noticed that it didn't ask about partitioning but it was  
doing things further. However, nothing bad happened apparently.

I didn't remember if could overpass that issue and installing trisquel.  
Normally I try to install a previous version of trisquel.
