Sorry, it still remains a mistery to me what you mean by "installable media
of the OS".
Are you looking of some kind of Trisquel un-attended ?
I mean: To some point the result of restoring your system from a REAR backup
to another system will result in the same.
A running system with your installed apps. Another approach would be a
taylored live CD where you set up a target disk with your partition settings
and simply copy your complete system to the target drive via rsync.
