Jeez most of those are pretty horrible. I think that text on a wallpaper (generally speaking) looks pretty tacky.
Simple, clean, wallpapers I think work best.Wallbase is a good place to find high quality wallpapers. I think their 'landscape' and 'minimalistic' ones are nice. (There is a NSFW section on the site, so be wary):
