Is it possible to post and read via e-mail with the layout/software you are suggesting? I rarely use the web interface or so called the forum. I prefer the mail. The rare times I use the forum is when I have to reply to an old thread or to one for which I've deleted the mail in my client. Of course the web part/forum should be as useful as possible to the people who use it, but when discussing, proposing and planning changes to the forum, please keep the mail functionality - reading full messages via e-mail and replying to them.
