In reference to the codec situation your "too small" to matter. Even little
companies like ThinkPenguin, System76, and others aren't on anyones radar.
Every action you take requires a decision which is imperfect. Don't justify
those less than perfect decisions. Accept that you are imperfect and strive
to do the right thing whenever possible.
Fix what you can and move on. If you don't get anywhere don't worry too much.
It's not the end all and your time may be better spent elsewhere. There are
plenty of opportunities to fix things.
