As far as I understand, the development of a new version of Trisquel only
starts when the related Ubuntu version is released: focusing on LTS would not
bring it earlier. As for backports, I believe the only ones Trisquel have are
coming from Ubuntu. Trisquel does not have the manpower to maintain more
backports.
