If I understand your goals then I think the best answer is to hold off until the Raspberry Pi has a free software friendly version out. There is such a project in the works.

Otherwise if you are just looking to replace a system with something more free then I'd probably suggest getting an X86 system from us (http://libre.thinkpenguin.com/). We've eliminated much of the non-free and privacy invasive components from our systems. The CPUs we ship don't include support for treacherous computing (www.gnu.org/philosophy/can-you-trust.html) and none of the major chipsets are dependent on non-free drivers/firmware (wireless, sound, ethernet, video, etc). Trisquel is well supported across our entire product line (desktops, latpos, and accesories). Not to mention we are working on free'ing various components and contributing 25% of the profits to Trisquel.
