Besides, the various 100% free distributions do not divide the work on the free kernel: it all happens within the Linux-libre project... which, to date, mainly removes proprietary code and does not substitute it.
I really do not understand the link between "extending the support for a
Trisquel version" (the topic of this thread) and "developing/improving the
drivers in Linux-libre" (the topic you are bringing with your last post).
