Perhaps I could get what I want without a system that runs full-blown GNU/Linux. Calibre has device synchronization capabilities, so a DRM-free and Linux compatible ereader could work as well, but I know of none.
I don't have any information to add, but I'd just like to say that I'd love a
device capable of running the Calibre ebook reader. No DRM, no hassle, I just
want to be able to copy my Calibre Library into the home directly, and I'd
love to pay for such a device.
