Hi, welcome to Trisquel :)

If you're a new user, may I suggest you start using Trisquel 6? You will
have a better chance at getting bugs addressed and it is based on the
long-term support version of Ubuntu, so you won't have to upgrading for
quite some time. There is no official release yet but as I mentioned
it's based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS which has been out for >8 months now. I
personally use this without issues.

Trisquel 5.5 would mean you need to install whatever they offer for
Ubuntu 11.10 ("Oneiric").

This would mean using this in their instructions
(http://www.openfoam.org/download/ubuntu.php):

sudo sh -c "echo deb http://www.openfoam.org/download/ubuntuoneiricmain >
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/openfoam.list"

I tested this, but with Trisquel 6 and the package installed as expected.

BTW it would aslo be useful if you could request OpenFoam authors to
package this for Debian so it makes it in standard repositories in both
Debian and Trisquel.

Good luck and please come back and report your results.

Cheers,

Fabian
