According to - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Release/Rolling - Ubuntu 12.04
(and subsequently Trisquel 6.0) will use newer kernels from the latest
non-LTS editions for the LTS point releases. So Ubuntu 12.04.2 will have
Linux version 3.5 (and I hope) Mesa 8.0, meaning it should have excellent
support/stability for Ivy Bridge
