Still no idea on the time frame. We got the actual adapters earlier than  
expected. The one developer doing the clean up on the code I've been in  
contact with for 4-6 months already but he only got access to the code at the  
end of December. Unfortunately he hasn't had a chance to work on it. The  
reasons for this I'm not entirely clear on. I don't think he anticipated the  
length of time it was going to take to actually get access to the code. He is  
probably just busy with other things now! There isn't a whole lot of dough to  
push things forward faster and it might not help anyway. There is another  
developer who signed up to work on it that I haven't been in contact with  
recently. He might actually be getting somewhere. I haven't talked to him  
though and am going to send an email once I figure out what that email is  
(waiting to hear back from Luis).

I sent a 2nd email to the other developer to see if he could give me an idea  
when he might have a chance to work on it or what might be holding him up. If  
he is not going to be able to work on it we will see who else might be able  
to take it up.
