Greasemonkey is an addon which enables you to run custom javascript in your  
browser. It does just that.

To enable the ViewTube script you go to that website and click on install.  
After that, you could go to youtube and you will be presented a screen  
similar to the one on that screenshot on the page: http://ompldr.org/vZDB0Mg

It may be choppy if you try to play the video via HTML5. It works fine if you  
play it in MP4/MPEG which basically calls the Totem player inside the window.
