Yesterday I tried to run the Trisquel 6 mimi live cd on my notebook.
Unfortunately because of not recognized hardware the desktop environment
didn't even start. (Trisquel 5.5 standard did run smoothly on this notebook.)
Later on I tried the mini distro on an other notebook im my office. Even if
the hardware of this notebook was much newer, I could start into the desktop
there. Unfortunately the screen resolution wasn't recognized. I couldn't even
adjust it in the Monitor settings. For a 1330x800 resolution screen I could
choose only between 800x600 or 1024x768 pixel. So, as a graphic designer, I
was to much of a pain for me to carry on with it.
Should I expect the standard edition being better suited for various hardware
support than the mini distro?
