I just thought that most users of GNU/Linux systems don't compile the source
code themselves.
There is someone who makes the job for them (I don't even know who this is
exactly).
Isn't this really a mess, since it is not longer the programmer who controls
the users, but the one who compiles the program?
It would be easy to implement malicious features without anyone knowing it.
I can study the source code and it is free of bad features - but how to be
sure, that this is the source code of the program I run?
In this sense, not compiling the program myself does harm to many benefits of
free software.
