The regular Java runtime environment and development kit distributed by  
Oracle (previously Sun before it was acquired by Oracle) is nonfree. You  
shouldn't use that. However, there is a free implementation of Java called  
OpenJDK; that's what you want. It can be found in Trisquel's repos.
