I don't know where in the world you are, but it doesn't sound like you are
familiar with how education works these days in the US. The classes are
structured so that everyone passes, because the colleges want to keep those
financial aid dollars rolling in. In other words, it would be far more
difficult to prove that one had failed, when it is so terribly easy to pass.
I don't like it either, because I was always a good student who EARNED the
good grades by choice, not becuase college level classes were structured to
be this easy.
