I don't know but I believe quite a few people are having problems with
suspend and hibernate.
I think it would be a good idea for somebody to write a little program that
would systematically test all the quirks. It should first ask a few questions
to rule out some of the quirks.
It would be a semi-automatic process because the user would still be required
to do the hard power off shutdowns when the system hangs with wrong quirks
and it could show a cute little matrix of what quirks have been tested and
allow the user to click a test next quirks button.
I believe many, many systems would work if only they had the correct quirks.
And suspend and hibernate are killer features in my opinion. I'll take
another shot at my problem once my fatigue dissipates...
