I just installed gNewSense 3.0 beta on my computer. Things are going smoothly BUT I cannot install IceCat without going through a lot of difficulty (see the IceCat page & you'll see what I mean at the end of the procedure). I've been using GNU/Linux since 2006 (e.g., Ubuntu, others) but Canonical and me parted ways after Gnome 3.x and Unity and the ads... I tried Kubuntu & Linux Mint KDE which are both really nice & usable. This new gNewSense however is quite slow on a new computer I have, and I want at least one updated browser that is safe/secure, that gets security updates at least weekly, etc. Also I cannot add a lot of Add-Ons in the Iceweasel 3.5.16 (which is what comes with a new gNewSense 3.0 beta) and I'm sure it's safe, I just have trepidation. I think I'm going to install Trisquel 6.0 & call it a day. The problems with gNewSense as I see them are: it's a bit slower than it should be & too outdated. It'd be great if it had all new software repo's for things like Rhythmbox, VLC, all of it. Why can't the developers put those repos in there?
