On a related notice, I recently upgraded my 32bit Debian system to Wheezy and I was notified that I had to install a different kernel package as they've moved from -i686 to i686-pae and have -i486 for older machines. My Debian machine works OK with debian's -i486 kernel package, maybe Ubuntu is only porting the -i686. Best, -- Stefano Fortune of the day: "You will be misunderstood by everyone."
