Saloute,
Why "ifup /interface/" or "ifdown /interface/" returns me:
"Rather than invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use the service
(8) utility, e.g. service smbd reload.

Since the script your are attempting to invoke has been converted to an
Upstart job, you may also use the reload(8) utility, e.g. reload
smbd." ?

Why I have this message about "service command"? - I never have this
notice about /etc/init.d.
And why it's about "smbd"?

Libere,
Pascal Diogo Antunes.
