You may seek out the g/ladspa[*], g/lv2[*], dssi, ALSA[*] hackers to find if your its possible!
[*] I once read that ALSA is implementated in the kernel, Linux that's why I didn't emphasize on calling it "AG/LSA". About the ladspa and lv2(ladspa version 2) I don't know how those works.
