Yes, they are examples of SaaS. If it is done in JavaScript, then it is running on your computer, so you should be able to control that. If the JavaScript program is using AJAX then it is a software + SaaS combination. Google Docs and the latest MS Office are both examples of software + SaaS combinations (the latest MS Office now "integrates" with SkyDrive). Andrew.
