[Trisquel-users] Old packages Trisquel 6

I have been using Trisquel 6 and love it (who doesn't love FSF support?), but  
I noticed that most packages are old. This is probobly because Trisqueal  
takes a snapshot of the Ubuntu repo and filters it, but is there any way to  
get the newer versions of software?

Maybe the Trisquel team should take more frequent snapshots and filter it  
through an automated filter. Comments or suggestions, anyone?
