That article fails to mention something important when you're using only free  
software: it's free software running on your computer, so you can find out  
exactly what is happening by checking the source code. There is no window of  
opportunity for data to be sent somewhere else without your knowledge unless  
you're running proprietary software. Of course, this doesn't apply to  
proprietary software, but Trisquel doesn't have any of that.
