I forgot to tell you that the (default) output location is your home folder  
(/home/matthias). Sorry about that.

From which operating system you executed those commands (Ubuntu or Trisquel)?  
I am asking because the lspci command outputs slightly more information when  
executed on a system where the device is working correctly (lsusb makes no  
difference).
