Bandcamp is a website where artists can sell digital music files (or make
them available for free download). A lot of music is available on a "name
your price" basis. Downloads are always available in a choice of FLAC, Ogg,
mp3, etc. And now it allows artists to elect whether to make their music
Creative Commons instead of All Rights Reserved. Pretty exciting for free
culture.
Just to make it realy easy for people to test whether Bandcamp works for them
in Abrowser, here is a link http://fidelium.bandcamp.com/ . Try pressing the
big "play" icon and see if it does anything.
(I'm not fidelium, it was just the first thing that came to mind as something
nice I found that's available in CC and name-your-price.)
