Not in this case; we suffer to little man-power.
The gnewsense developer, as far as I know, is overcharged with all the work.
I think there is a reason why they release so rarely a new version.
Trisquel does not have a single full time developer;
This has consequences, like thunderbird being still included in Trisquel
though recommending non-free add-ons.
Because there is too little man power, the best thing is:
1. to choose a distribution which can be converted into freedom-friendly with
little effort as possible
2. to unify with people who make almost the same / have almost the same
goals. This means putting work power together.
