I was thinking of something less specific than just free software or Trisquel
and those issues would be just one aspect. What I am mostly interested in is
a collaborative effort where people post different things related to tech,
computing, science and even geeky pop culture things.
It would be fairly decentralized in that the anyone can sign up for an
account and post without any else's approval. The only purpose of an admin
is to maintain a consistency of look and feel, etc.
Whoever contributes could just do it at their leisure. For example, right
now I'm working on a backup script based on duplicity and want to write
articles about that and post the code, etc. I also have a project to setup a
console only version of Trisquel on an old laptop I could write about.
The main point is the contributions would be original in the sense they
reflect something the author did or an opinion on some issue related to
GNU/Linux for example and not simply reposting articles from other sites.
Due to its organic nature it is also impossible to know exactly how it will
grow but I'm really interested in the idea of a decentralized project and
seeing where it would go.
