I installed it from scratch using the text based installer option (which is
like the debian installer). In the past I tended toward Gnome, but I really
don't like Gnome-shell, and I don't like Mate that much either. I had had a
little trouble with triskel previous to this when I installed it using
apt-get from a default Trisquel installation, because the default options in
kde didn't seem to work right. But installing Triskel from scratch seems to
resolve those problems. I'm in the process of converting over from my
traditional Gnome based apps to qt, kde or cross-platform apps. The one
exception is gnucash. I love that app and it runs just fine in kde.
