OK. I downloaded gstreamer-1.1.4.tar.xz from the  	gstreamer.freedesktop.org  
and tried to compile it. I got this error message.

configure: No package 'glib-2.0' found
No package 'gobject-2.0' found
No package 'gmodule-no-export-2.0' found
configure: error: This package requires GLib >= 2.32.0 to compile.
How can I get the missing packages? I can't find them in the Synaptic Package  
manager.

I'm a complete Linux noob, so please explain like I'm five.
