I've been testing out Elementary OS lately and it is a fast and gorgeous
Ubuntu based distribution. Like Trisquel 6, it is based off of Ubuntu 12.04
LTS and will be supported for many years. With that in mind, has anyone tried
to recreate Elementary OS in Trisquel 6 by adding the programs, icons, and
themes?
When looking at the sources, I see these two PPAs:
https://launchpad.net/~elementary-os/+archive/stable
https://launchpad.net/~elementary-os/+archive/os-patches
The second one has a warning that it may affect your existing operating
system as these are workarounds for Elementary OS.
If one were to add the first PPA (and maybe the second) and run an "apt-get
install elementary-desktop" command in Trisquel 6, would it work? Better yet,
has anyone tried it? :-P
