When I tried to get to run level 1 and run it manually I was presented with a nice pretty picture and no further response from the keyboard until I did the old three finger slaute to reboot.
How do I get it to run?
It occurs to me that I haven't seen fsck run on any of my hard drives since
at least some time last year.
It used to run reasonably frequently, my home partition has been a home
partition for ages and must have been booted at least 100 times since early
summer alone.
