The best temporary solution is to have a USB adapter and look for a MiniPCI that is accepted by your hardware and has libre firmware: https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/mini-pci-mini-pci-e-mini-pci-e-half-height-guide-laptop-wifi-cards ThinkPenguin does have those too. But sometimes the BIOS does not accept that hardware. You have to check on-site.
