Recently on Jupier Broadcasting's Coder Radio, someone submitted feedback on
using Scala and Play Framework on a complete free software stack on a free
software operating system. The email can be referenced at
http://slexy.org/view/s21vLV2dmR and it is very interesting in how Michael
Dominick responds to the potential of liberating more of his software stack
and avoiding vendor lock-in.

or the YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0ds_aMPfls to listen
for yourself. The reader's email starts at 9:15 and Michael answers the
reader's question at 11:20.
Thoughts? Impressions? I know in the past Michael has championed using C#,
Azure, and Microsoft technologies in addition to Java. Is this self ignorance
on his end or how most modern developers actually think?
